We are looking for smart motivated engineers to test the search engine used by Amazon.com. You'll be working with the search team, participating in designing reviews and getting exposure to A9.com's search technology. It is a fast paced environment, you won't get bored!

As a Software Development Test Engineer (SDET) you will work as part of the development team to ensure that A9's software meets or exceeds quality, performance, and reliability standards. You will build software that, in turn, works to break the production code for the purpose of improving quality. The team's vision is to drive the quality upstream and test to ensure high quality code in the final product at launch. You must meet the same technical bar as SDEs with less emphasis on design and more emphasis on testing aptitude and expertise, and a passion for quality. You will be in charge of building test plans, use cases, and testing product in general Job: Software Development Test Engineer 2012.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in product requirement and design reviews
• Contribute to the improvement of our test infrastructure
• Develop and implement test plans
• Develop and implement automated tests for functionality, load and performance testing

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a software development environment
• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong diagnostic, analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience programming in Perl, Python and/or C++
• Basic familiarity with SQL is also required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; a graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred
